Manipur: The Jewel of India’s Northeast Manipur, located in the northeastern part of India, is a state that offers a unique blend of cultural diversity, natural beauty, and rich history. The Keibul Lamjao National Park, located in Loktak Lake, is the only floating national park in the world and is home to the endangered Sangai deer. This dance form, characterized by graceful movements and spiritual themes, is one of the eight classical dance forms of India. The Raas Leela, a dance-drama based on the stories of Lord Krishna, is an integral part of Manipuri culture. Manipur’s cuisine is characterized by the use of fermented fish, rice, and green leafy vegetables. Eromba, a traditional dish made with mashed vegetables and fish, is a popular delicacy in the state. The state is also known for its contribution to sports, particularly in wrestling, hockey, and football. Manipur has produced several renowned athletes who have represented India on the international stage.
